Grae Matter “I know that we matter.” Is a song that is meant to spark and inspire individuality, inclusion, and compassion. Violet’s intention is to dissolve the walls that heavily and obliquely divide us. This cinematic and anthemic song wants you to ask questions and to allow yourself to view the world through the eyes of others. To accept the beauty in difference and not erase the history that has made us who we are. “These new trends feel so old.” The consistent climactic production represents the longing for progression. For many of us, we are trying to go against a metaphorical, tide that is causing us to live retrogradely. We have to break through to make our way to a place of acceptance. “Outcasts are casted out.” Once the storm settles, we do not have to feel forced to live between black and white lines. We can find peace in the grey.
